      Our 5^th activity in ICT in biology was to take a photo of a living organism and use a free watermarking application. This photo was printed in 5'r with a waray word caption with copyright © and Our Professor Ma’am Rutchelle Enriquez will choose different pictures presented in class which will get the titles:

• a.     Best Picture
• b.     Best Story
• c.      Best Title

This photo was taken in our boarding house. It was in titled “Baysay” because this bougainvillea flower is very common to us but it is not appreciated compared to other flowers and other people would tend to look this flower hyperopically but if we looked at this flower myopically we will appreciate the true beauty of this flower.

Indeed. Our group believed that “simplicity itself is beautiful” and this flower is really beautiful that cope to its name “baysay”. And even though we did not get the best picture and best story we are still very proud because we get the best title in this activity.

Our second activity was to compute for the Kuder-Richardson formula 20 (KR20) and Kuder-Richardson 21 (KR21) in which we have to choose an animal that we are interested with and make a true or false questionnaire and solve its KR20 and KR21 using a tool in Microsoft word, to know whether our questionnaire is reliable or not.

We have decided to choose poodle, a type of a dog because of its cuteness. I think no one would disagree with me? hehe aside from being cute this breed of dog is considered to be the second intelligent dog! 

In conducting this study we were really enjoyed because we met new people because our respondents were thirty freshmen students in the Leyte Normal University and they cooperate well, they answered the questions seriously. 

In computing, we first computed the mean and variance. Then, we computed for the KR20 and KR21 in which our questionnaire is reliable because it reached the benchmark 0.4

Plant Distribution Analysis in Leyte Normal University: Using Drop cap, Organizational Chart and Venn diagram

The first activity in ICT Biology (SCI_184) was to make Drop cap, Organizational chart and Venn diagram using Microsoft word. In order to perform this, the students used the plant distribution in Leyte Normal University as their source of data.

Going to ORC ground after identifying different plant species in SR garden

The students were assigned in the four distinctive areas in the university: Science garden, HAE ground, ORC ground and ILS/SC side ground to survey the plant occurrences on each area. To avoid repetition on counting, the students only choose the main stem of each plant species rooted in the grounds. 

Drop cap, Organizational chart, Venn diagram is very important tool. It helps us to simplify things and add art in every work we had. Drop can emphasize the beginning of text that can guide the readers. Organizational chart can give the outline of the idea or results through its structural design. Venn diagram can be used to compare and contrast thing, it allows abstract ideas to understand more.
